Custom label water bottles in three sizes: 300 ml, 500 ml and 1.5 litre, each with a red label reading Your Logo Here

Choosing between water bottle sizes looks like a small decision. It is not. The size decides how much water gets wasted, how big your label is, how many cartons you store and how your brand looks in a customer's hand. Pick the wrong one and you pay for water that goes down the drain, or you hand a family of six a bottle that lasts two minutes.

Siratim supplies custom label bottles in Karachi in three sizes, 300 ml, 500 ml and 1.5 litre. This guide compares them honestly, so you can match the size to the way your business actually serves water.

The three water bottle sizes at a glance

Point 300 ml 500 ml 1.5 litre
Serves One person, short visit One person, full meal or long stay A group, with glasses
In glasses of 250 ml A little over one Two Six
Carrying Fits a handbag or a small hand Fits a car cup holder and a bag Stays on the table
Label area Smallest Medium Largest
Waste risk Low, it usually gets finished Medium Low if shared, high if served to one person
Typical users Salons, clinics, weddings, meetings Restaurants, cafes, takeaway, offices Family dining, hotels, banquets, boardrooms

The glasses row is simple arithmetic. It helps you picture how far each bottle goes.

Each size in detail

The table gives the short version. Here is each size properly, with where it fits and where it does not.

300 ml: the small bottle that gets finished

The 300 ml bottle holds a little more than one glass of water. That is its strength. Most people finish it, so you rarely clear away half-full bottles.

It fits well when:

  • The visit is short, such as a haircut, a consultation, a showroom visit or a meeting
  • You are giving the water away free and want to control cost and waste
  • Guests are seated at an event where there are many other drinks
  • Children are a big part of your crowd
  • You want something neat for a welcome tray or a favour bag

Think twice when:

  • People stay for hours in the heat
  • The bottle goes with a full meal, where one small bottle may not be enough
  • You need a lot of information on the label, because the space is limited

On a 300 ml label, keep to a logo, a name and one contact detail. See the 300 ml water bottles page for details.

500 ml: the all-rounder

The 500 ml bottle is the size most people picture when they think of bottled water. It equals two glasses. It is enough for a meal, a workout or a long meeting, and it is easy to carry away.

It fits well when:

  • You run a restaurant or cafe and serve individual diners
  • You send out takeaway and delivery orders
  • You sell water at a counter
  • You host trainings, seminars or exhibitions that last half a day or more
  • You want one size that works nearly everywhere

Think twice when:

  • Visits are short. You will see many half-full bottles left behind.
  • You serve large family tables. You will need many bottles per table, which clutters the space.

The label on a 500 ml bottle has room for a logo, a tagline and a couple of contact details without crowding. And because people carry this size out the door, the label keeps working in cars, offices and homes. See the 500 ml water bottles page.

1.5 litre: one bottle for the whole table

The 1.5 litre bottle is for sharing. It fills six glasses of 250 ml. It is not a personal bottle, and it should not be served as one.

It fits well when:

  • Families and groups sit together, as they often do at Karachi restaurants
  • You stock hotel rooms or guest house rooms
  • You serve banquets and buffets with glasses on the table
  • You set up a boardroom or a long workshop
  • You want the largest possible label

Think twice when:

  • You have no glasses, or your service style is grab-and-go
  • Most of your guests come alone
  • Fridge and chiller space is tight, since large bottles take more room and more time to chill

The big label is a real advantage. You have space for a larger logo, a short brand story or your branch list. See the 1.5 litre water bottles page.

Water bottle sizes by business type

Here is a practical starting point for each kind of business. Treat it as a guide and adjust it to what you see on your own floor.

  • Restaurants. Use 500 ml for small tables and takeaway, and 1.5 litre for families. More in branded water bottles for restaurants and on the restaurants page.
  • Cafes. Use 500 ml for counter sales. Add 300 ml if you give water free with coffee. See cafes.
  • Hotels and guest houses. Use 500 ml or 1.5 litre in rooms, 300 ml at reception, and 1.5 litre in banquet halls. See hotels.
  • Salons and barber shops. Use 300 ml. The visit is short and the water is complimentary. See salons and barber shops.
  • Clinics and hospitals. Use 300 ml for waiting areas and 500 ml for private rooms. See clinics and hospitals.
  • Offices and corporate events. Use 300 ml for short meetings and 500 ml for day-long sessions. See corporate events.
  • Weddings. Use 300 ml at each seat, with 1.5 litre bottles as backup with the serving staff. Read wedding water bottles for quantities.

Not sure which group you fall into? Send a short message through the contact page describing how you serve water today, and we will suggest a size.

How size affects your label

The bottle size sets the label size, and the label size sets what you can say.

  • 300 ml. Logo, name and one contact. Anything more becomes too small to read.
  • 500 ml. Logo, tagline and two contacts. There is room for a small social media handle.
  • 1.5 litre. All of the above, plus a short message, several branches or a QR code, if you use one.

You can use the same design idea on all three sizes. The artwork still has to be adjusted for each one, because the label dimensions differ. Ask for a proof of every size you order. We help with this, as explained on the label design page. For general layout advice, read how to design a water bottle label.

How size affects cost, storage and waste

We do not publish prices here, because the cost depends on your quantity, label and delivery area. But the direction is predictable.

  • Cost per bottle. It rises with size, because a bigger bottle uses more material and more water and takes more space in transport.
  • Cost per guest. This can go the other way. One 1.5 litre bottle shared by a family can work out better than several personal bottles. Always compare the cost per guest served, not only the cost per bottle.
  • Storage. A thousand small bottles take far less room than a thousand large ones. Measure your store room before you order in bulk.
  • Chilling. Small bottles chill quickly. Large bottles need more time and more fridge space.
  • Waste. The most expensive water is the water you throw away. If you see many half-full bottles when you clear tables, your size is too big.

Our guide to custom water bottle price in Pakistan explains every cost factor.

Can you order more than one size

Yes, and many businesses should. Two sizes cover most situations. Common pairs include:

  • 500 ml and 1.5 litre for restaurants
  • 300 ml and 500 ml for cafes, offices and clinics
  • 300 ml and 1.5 litre for weddings and banquets

Keep the same design across your sizes, so your brand looks consistent. Ask your supplier how minimum quantities work when you split an order between sizes.

A quick way to decide

Answer these five questions.

  1. How long does a guest stay? Under an hour points to 300 ml. A meal or half a day points to 500 ml.
  2. Do people share? If groups share and you have glasses, add 1.5 litre.
  3. Is the water free or sold? Free water favours the smallest size that does the job.
  4. Does the bottle leave with the guest? If yes, 300 ml and 500 ml carry your label further.
  5. What do you throw away today? Watch your tables for a week. Half-full bottles mean you should go smaller. Requests for a second bottle mean you should go bigger.

Quick answers

Which water bottle sizes does Siratim offer?

Siratim offers three sizes with custom printed labels, 300 ml, 500 ml and 1.5 litre. You can order a single size or combine sizes for different uses.

Is 300 ml or 500 ml better for events?

The 300 ml size suits short indoor events because guests finish it and little is wasted. The 500 ml size suits long or outdoor events where each guest needs more water.

When should a business choose 1.5 litre bottles?

Choose 1.5 litre when several people share one bottle and glasses are available, such as family restaurant tables, hotel rooms, banquets and boardrooms.

Can I use the same label design on all three sizes?

Yes, the same design idea can be used on every size, but the label dimensions differ, so the artwork is adjusted for each bottle. Ask for a proof of each size before printing.
